ORDER your copy of “Backstage At The price Is Right: Memoirs of a Barker Beauty” TODAY! I am so excited that my book has been picked up by SHOWTIME to become a 30-minute weekly comedy series…YAY!
The show is based on my memoirs, however to protect the “innocent” (hahaha), the Showtime series will be called “36-24-36”, for obvious reasons; when a Barker Beauty game show models body meant everything.

NEW SHOWTIME SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT BASED ON AUTHOR/ACTRESS KATHLEEN BRADLEY’S BOOK “BACKSTAGE AT THE PRICE IS RIGHT: MEMOIRS OF A BARKER BEAUTY”
Los Angeles, CA - Kathleen Bradley, who made television history as the first Black model on America’s beloved Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show The Price is Right, has broken her silence with her gritty tell-all book “Backstage at The Price Is Right: Memoirs of a Barker Beauty.”
Producer Debra Martin Chase and author/screenwriter/playwright Delia Ephron are teaming up for a half-hour comedy series that will air on Showtime, titled "36-24-36," which will be based on Kathleen’s memoirs. Bradley will serve as a consultant on the series, currently in development with Showtime, with a tentative premiere date in the spring of 2016.
In the fall of 1990, model/actor Kathleen Bradley broke the mold and became the first Black model to join ranks as one of Bob Barker’s Beauties and for the next ten years, she was seen daily by 16 million viewers as she basked in the limelight as a national figure. After a seven-year gag order from the producers of The Price Is Right, Kathleen discharged her true accounts and experiences behind the scenes on Stage 33 (Bob Barker Studio) at CBS Hollywood Television City.
Written solely by this first-time author, Backstage at The Price Is Right is a racy, jaw-dropping, firsthand account of the often salacious and always fascinating behind-the-scenes drama surrounding the number one game show in television history. This is Kathleen’s story of the exciting chapters leading from the enthusiasm and jubilation embarking upon “The Golden Road” to a rude awakening – an unjustifiable dismissal from her dream job after ten years of devoted service. This page-turning memoir, which reads like a novel, is told with a humorous, entertaining, yet gritty revelation, as she presents an expose’ of hypocrisy, sexism, and racism that she witnessed while working on the show. The catfights, sex scandals, the betrayals, dirty little secrets, the depositions and lawsuits, and the ugly truth are all revealed before and after the cameras rolled.
Kathleen was lauded as the sexy neighbor to Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, as Mrs. Parker in the hit cult comedy “Friday.” She has been described as someone who has never been satisfied with following where the path led but preferred to go where there was no path and leave a trail for others to follow. After a short hiatus, she is making her come back loud and proud with her long-awaited memoir and icing on the cake with “36-24-36” Showtime sitcom.

It was great being back in my home state of Ohio to jump-start my summer book tour. It was filled with lots of fun and excitement; TV, radio, and newspaper interviews, parties, receptions, and so much more. One of my trip highlights was speaking on Career Day for the 8th-grade class at my alma mater Girard High School.
Thanks to the City of Girard and Mayor James Melfi for the Resolution declaring May 18th – May 24th “KATHLEEN BRADLEY WEEK” in the City of Girard. What an honor!
Thanks to the Barnes and Nobel stores in Boardman/Youngstown, Cleveland/Woodmere, Ohio areas, Pittsburgh/Homestead, Pennsylvania. Also, a big thank to Monteen’s Soul food Restaurant, Martini Brothers, and The Fire Grill for proving food and space for book signings.
I prolonged my trip and took a diversion by venturing on to Portsmouth, Ohio, per the request of Chef Will Robinson and his trusty sidekick Rob Williams. Incredible sites to see, food was terrific, especially at the world-famous RIBBER restaurant. The best steak I have ever had in my life.
Thanks to my publicist David Mirisch Enterprises, the Interns, and Mayola Mills-Gatling, Ohio Publicist and good friend, for making my tour a big success.
